How It Works

Going Green Is Easy With the Hydrogen-On-Tap (H.O.T) System

As a clean-burning fuel, hydrogen is an ideal way to eliminate greenhouse gases, but implementation has been difficult. The challenges of transportation, storage, and delivery have hampered efforts to consider it as a viable alternative fuel, until now.

The H.O.T System creates hydrogen “on demand”

In the current application, the H.O.T. System creates hydrogen on demand for fleet vehicles via an EPA approved “bolt on” system that requires no engine modification.

When the engine is started, hydrogen is produced and fed into the engine.  Since the hydrogen is merely supplemental fuel, if all of it is consumed before the vehicle’s gasoline, the vehicle will continue to operate as normal.

There is no engine modification necessary so no need to replace the engine or wait for it to “age out” so that it can be retrofitted.

The Process is Simple

Water is added to the alloy to trigger the reaction that creates hydrogen.

The  alloy is placed into the cannister which is inserted into the box located on the back of the truck – and the system is ready to use.

After the hydrogen is generated, the remaining material  can be recycled to create more pellets. When the hydrogen is depleted and the truck returns to the garage, the cannisters are swapped out and replaced with cannisters containing fresh alloy. The reactive material is collected for recycling.

H.O.T 5.0

The H.O.T System is ready for sale this year!

The Hydrogen on Tap (HOT) System 5.0G is currently being cost reduced in order to fit the budget of almost any fleet manager.  Install the  product and the vehicle will realize an increase in fuel mileage of 8% to 12% due to the supplemental hydrogen.  Emissions of carbon dioxide will decrease almost 20%.  There is no need to store the hydrogen as it is generated on demand on the back of the vehicle.
